To encourage communication, cooperation and coordination as well as development of the sister societies, IRES provides limited support to society leaders who need financial assistance to attend and participate in other sister society conferences and attend the IRES Board of Directors meeting. These travel grants are supported by the members of the sister societies through the dues the societies pay to IRES. Support has been used to attend AfRES, ARES, LARES, and PRRES conferences. A list of the number of travel grants and amount of support provided each year is provided below. Information is incomplete for some early years.
